This was my original idea for the "Hard Day's Night" poster. Of course, I completely lack any sort of artistic ability whatsoever, so I enlisted the aid of my best friend Amy (for more of her work, check out her excellent comic strip As If!). Being me however, I dropped the idea for this with about two days left to go. Unsure if she'd have the time to even consider doing the poster, I went ahead and worked on my own, which you've already seen. Of course, Amy's a marvel so she whipped this sucker out in I think about 6.2 seconds. I was then torn between which version to use. I settled on the wall version in the end due to the fact that it doesn't quite so obviously look like a parody – something which we didn't establish in the episode itself until partway into the first act. So rather than tip our hand early, I went with my version. But I still adore this one.
